Accept in-chat payments with Paynow

This connects YOUR OWN Paynow merchant account, so payments from your WhatsApp customers land directly in your account - AutoWhats never holds or moves this money.

1

Get a Paynow merchant account

If you don't already have one, register as a merchant on Paynow. Approval can take a day or two, since Paynow verifies businesses before granting API access.

Open Paynow
2

Find your Integration ID and Integration Key

Once logged in to your merchant dashboard, go to Integrations and either use your default integration or create a new one for AutoWhats. Each integration has an Integration ID (not sensitive - it just identifies which of your integrations made the request) and an Integration Key (sensitive - it signs every request as coming from you, keep it secret).

3

Paste your credentials into AutoWhats

Go to Settings → Paynow in AutoWhats, enter the Integration ID and Integration Key from step 2, and Save. AutoWhats encrypts the key at rest and never displays it back to you.

Leave this blank if you'd rather handle payments manually - your AI assistant will fall back to whatever payment instructions you've written into your Business Profile's Policies field instead of offering an in-chat checkout link.
4

Test it

Start a conversation with your own WhatsApp bot and ask about buying something that triggers a payment. You should receive a real Paynow checkout link, and the payment should show up in both your Paynow merchant dashboard and Paynow's own transaction history.
